NKCDC Neighborhood Advisory Committee (19125)
Friday, November 02, 2007The primary responsibility of NAC members is to work as ambassadors between NKCDC and the community. This includes providing the CDC with information on neighborhood and community conditions, needs, and problems. With this information, members of the NAC help to formulate programs to address these issues. In addition to participating in monthly meetings and recruiting community residents to participate in these programs, members of the NAC also relay information about the CDC to the community. NAC members also have the opportunity to participate in national leadership trainings through Neighborworks America, a neighborhood redevelopment organization created by the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
