Innovative filmmakers needed

Collaborate with community members to create a video how-to guide

New Kensington Community Development Corporation (NKCDC) is hiring a community-minded filmmaker (or team) to work with Kensington Resident Community Organization (RCO) members to script and shoot a video that encourages people to be active in their neighborhood.

Over the course of a year, NKCDC will work with filmmakers to bring together RCO members who will star in this short tutorial video. In conjunction with NKCDC, the selected filmmaker(s) will facilitate four meetings with residents to plan, script and shoot. The final product-—due in 2018-—will be a 3 to 4-minute video featuring neighbors talking about their local community organizations and showing the work they've accomplished in their neighborhood. Total budget is $4200.
